Worth talking about

I get so tired of hearing about professional athletes who do this bad thing or that bad thing.  Our kids think these guys are inspirational and ask to be or not, they are role models.  So when I hear something good, it makes me wish we got that type of news more often.

Shaquille O'Neal is getting his Phd.  He doesn't have to.  He has no need to get a degree for a better job.  He's doing it because he wants to and he can.  I hope every man, woman and child who has ever admired his skills on the court will take notice.  Learning kicks ass and is good for the soul.

Way to go Shaq!
