I didn't take as many pictures as I might normally have. Enjoying the company too much, but here are a couple.
The race was good, even if I didn't get a medal. I had fun and will get my medal next year! I'm determined and it was a very good experience. Everyone I met was so so very encouraging. I love race people. Runners, walkers, volunteers, organizers. They are almost always so nice and encouraging! I've met one or two "why are you here kinds, but only a couple. Everyone else is happy to see someone trying, even if they are not in great shape. It's a good environment.
Then I cam home and lounged and lounged and lounged and lounged. For not quite a week. Last night I was sitting at the computer posting pictures of cats when I realized I was wearing a shirt that said "You don't have to go fast, you just have to go". I started feeling bad because I had not been going and had no intention of going. So I grabbed another couple of layers, some gloves and then I went. It felt good! I only did 2 miles at a slow pace and the cold tightened up my muscles (niacin for today's outing) but I went, and I felt good. Got me back on track to go again. At least for today. Angie and I are going out later. Maybe that will get me on track for tomorrow. One day at a time!
